Bethel Preschool Closing
Because of changing demographics, increased county services, new preschool facilities in the community, and declining enrollment, the Bethel Session will discontinue operating the historic Bethel Preschool. We believe adequate preschool opportunities are available today without our offering, and look forward to investing this part of Bethel’s resources and energies in other areas of ministry. We are thankful for the Preschool’s many contributions to the community’s youth over many decades of operation.
The Preschool held its final graduation on May 29th with a covered dish dinner hosted by the staff and parents. The children presented a program of songs and Bible verses they had learned during the year and a display of their art work.
We particularly thank Teacher Pam Kirchman for her years of Preschool leadership. Pam’s exceptional and well known dedication and skills are beyond description. We thank Assistant Teachers Suzanna Burkholder and Theresa Bistel for their services to the Preschool in recent years. We wish all of them the best of everything and success in their future endeavors.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127:3
